Asda serves up ‘Cheester Egg’ for Easter
Asda has unveiled its plan to “make this Easter the cheesiest Britain has ever seen”, with the launch of a new ‘Cheester Egg’, which aims to resolve that perennial question – chocolate or cheese?
Available from 16 March, the half egg-shaped cheese, half-condiment product will offer the entire cheeseboard egg-sperience, with crumbly mini oatcake crackers and a sachet of sweet and sticky caremelised onion chutney included.
This cheesy twist on an Easter classic has been crafted using Blacksticks Blue Cheese and is made using freshly sourced milk and traditional Farmhouse Dairy methods.
Jo Miller, Asda’s head of cheese, noted: “We’re so excited to launch the Cheester Egg. Following the incredible response to our Christmas cheese advent calendar, the Cheester Egg was the obvious next step to show our customers that we’re constantly listening and ensuring there’s something for everyone at Asda this Easter.”
