The 16th SA Olive Awards took place on Thursday, 9th of September 2021 and brought in a total of 113 Extra Virgin Olive Oil (EVOO) entries from 46 producers. All 113 EVOOs were rigorously and professionally assessed and judged. The judging took place via an extensive five-day blind tasting led by professional Taster and Panel Leader, Dr Aldo Mazzini from Italy.  He was joined by five local tasters and judges: Reni Hildenbrand; Jackie Loubser; Benedetta Lami; Marlene Loubser; and Michelle Kruger. The event was sponsored by leading manufacturers of olive oil extraction equipment AmenduniMORI-TEM and Pieralisi.
