Albany celebrates top ranking

| Awards and achievements

Albany Bakeries is proud to announce that it came second in the Sunday Times Top Brands Survey in the essential foods category. It has also taken the top position in the Icon Brands, a ranking platform created by City Press, Rapport and Ask Afrika, with results sourced from the TGI survey.

“Consumers love and trust Albany for its quality,” says Mmaphuthi Rankapole, marketing director Albany Bakeries. “They tell us that they can always rely on Albany to deliver the softest and freshest bread every time.”

The brand uses quality, carefully selected ingredients that are baked with care and love.

“Albany is also easily accessible both in the formal and informal trade, which makes it easy for the people of Mzansi to choose us on shelf,” Rankapole says.

Delivery trucks are ready as early as 2am every morning, crates of bread are packed and ready to go to all corners of Mzansi, so that when kids wake up mom has fresh bread to prepare sandwiches for her loved ones.

“Albany is a proudly South African brand, which has been the staple food in Mzansi homes for more than 47 years. The true testament of the brand is really the one that we get from the people who choose us on shelf, the people who use our bread and these are the people who vote in the Sunday Times Top Brands Awards.

“We are delighted with these results which reinforce our position as a favourite brand among South Africans. We strive to innovate and continue to put consumer needs, aligned with changing market demands, as our priority,” Rankapole says.
